Playing files submitted to Google Drive

The most important thing to do after installing the Google Drive desktop client is configuring it to mirror files rather than stream them. This is because, for this procedure, RadioDJ will load files stored locally and play those.

After confirming that files are mirroring as they should be, it's as simple as loading a track and setting the Track Type as "Variable File Length". Naturally, the question that follows is, how do we get RadioDJ to recognize the new content that's replacing the old content? What if programmers have a different show this week, as they often do? Do we have to manually import everything every time?

Simply put, RadioDJ uses filenames to distinguish between songs. What this means practically for us, is that if we simply delete the old track and give the new track the exact same filename as the old track, it will play the new file as if it were always there. This could be a big breakthrough in terms of saving programmers from entering the station on their own.
